There is just over 24 hours for those interested in attending the conference from farther away, beyond the immediate Boston and New York area, to apply to our Fellowship program.
The Reframing Hong Kong Fellowship offers grants to 2 to 3 students to attend the full conference on March 14 and 15. The fellowship will cover transportation costs to and from Providence, RI, as well as the conference registration fee (includes food and accommodation). Applicants must be full time students at a college or university on the continental United States. Candidates will submit a video essay of no more than 3 minutes long that states why they want to come to the conference and what they hope to get out of it.
The Fellowship program helps ensure that those who are interested in learning more about Hong Kong will not be encumbered by geographical and financial limitations. The Steering Committee believes that our Fellows will help further enrich our conversations about Hong Kong, happening in less than three weeks time.
The application is due at midnight EST on Tuesday, February 25.
This Fellowship is made possible by generous gifts from members of the Brown University Alumni Association of Hong Kong. BUAAHK serves as an bridge between current students, alumni, and the wider Hong Kong community, and does incredible work in interviewing prospective students and mentoring those of us currently in Providence. We are truly grateful for the support from our friends in Hong Kong.
